Water is Life conference 2016
Congratulations to bronze medla winners Anna, Ewing, Mary and Sam at the international "Water is Life" conference in the Netherlands, 5th to 11th June, 2016.
JMSS students created a science project “Magnificent Macrophytes in Wonderful Wetlands.” Their project looks at water quality and biodiversity in 2 wetlands, and the role of macrophytes (plants, mosses and algae). This project builds on from the work of JMSS students who built a wetland at the school as a science project for the 2014 “Water is Life” conference. Many organisms use wetlands during their life cycle, wetlands provide protection from flooding and filter chemicals from rainwater runoff.
Thanks to Sam for the video.
