International Science Schools Network
JMSS has played a key role in establishing the new International Science Schools Network (ISSN), and has a seat on the five-school executive. JMSS has been selected to host the 2015 International Students Science Fair, followed by NUS Singapore in 2016, and KAIST South Korea in 2017.
As a collaborative and influential body of schools, the intention is to speak clearly to a wide range of audiences about the nature, purpose and significance of the network and its capacity to be a forum in promoting leading edge science education on a global scale. The ISSN defines ‘science’ as including science, mathematics and technologies.
The mission of the ISSN is to:
- facilitate leading-edge interaction and collaboration for secondary students in science, mathematics and technologies
- build professional capacity and collaboration in science, mathematics and technologies education between Principals, teachers and students
